I’m Bonita, an EMDRIA Approved Consultant and Accredited HAP (Humanitarian Assistance Program) Facilitator dedicated to supporting therapists in their EMDR certification journey. As a licensed professional clinical counselor in Ohio with extensive training in complex trauma and dissociation, I provide expert consultation to help Basic Trainees complete their required 10 hours and other therapists master EMDR protocol and navigate challenging cases.

My journey began with a graduate degree in marriage and family therapy, but once I discovered EMDR, I never looked back. I’ve spent years diving deep into dissociation and dissociative disorders, training with experts like Robin Shapiro, Jim Knipe, and Farnsworth Lobenstein. This specialized knowledge allows me to offer unique insights into working with complex trauma cases.

An EMDRIA Approved Consultant has met the highest standards for EMDR expertise, completed extensive training, and demonstrated mastery of EMDR therapy. This provides you with consultation from someone with proven expertise and advanced skills.
How many consultation hours do I need for EMDR certification?
EMDRIA requires 20 hours of consultation for certification, but Basic Trainees need 10 hours of consultation to meet their initial requirements. I can provide individual or group consultation hours to meet your certification needs.
Do you offer virtual EMDR consultation?
Yes! I provide consultation both in-person for Ohio therapists and virtually for therapists nationwide. Virtual consultation is just as effective and more convenient for busy practitioners.
